In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you did not create. Drop a link to your post in the comments. See if you can rec fanworks that are less likely to be praised: tiny fandoms, rare pairings, fanworks other than stories, lesser known kinks or tropes. Find fanworks that have few to no comments, or creators new to a particular fandom and maybe aren't well known or appreciated. Appreciate them.

(I am restricting myself to fics with few comments because otherwise this list will be a million fics long.)

They were together for three seasons, and yet my favorite Gilmore Girls pairing (Rory/Logan. Love them. Unashamed.) does not have as much fic as it should (read: an unlimited amount for me to read). It’s probably because they are so often overshadowed by the long-standing tension between Luke and Lorelai and Jess’s bad boy allure. I wanted to bring to light one of my favorite of these fics, Fade to Color. I love every part of it, from the title to the descriptions to the resolution.

Logan. A diary. Light, slightly smutty and a-friggin-dorably romantic. I don’t know why there are only three comments at the end of this Look into the Diary of a Man.

Bones fic is explosive. And a lot of it is total crap. This might be because I’m too picky or I’m looking in the wrong places or I’m really jaded, but there you are. There are your star authors, your miss_margarets and obrien_blues, but they’re harder to find than you would think in such a huge archive. This is a fic that was recced byleni_ba. It might be overlooked because it was posted in the less-used comm thejeffersonian, but I’m so glad that I went over to see it. It’s Lab!verse and Wendell/VNM and I’m as shocked as you are at how well it works. The characters are spot on, the backgrounds given are perfect, and I kind of want to kill off the Finder and make his show into a Nine Million Bicycles-fest.

“Dear Veronica.” The title and first words of this fic that I want more of. Real Logan, the Logan he could have been, should have been- honest and poetic and gorgeous; no wonder he’s my background for the month- in one glorious letter. It’s definitely not as much as I want, but it’s enough.

I also highly recommend every single fic from this list. They might be fairly well known, but for anyone who hasn't had a chance to see them, they are not to be missed. Because anyone who tells you that they don’t wish they were Harpy so they could break the rules of commas and make it into art, that they don’t want A Strange New Story Every Time made into a serum and injected into their arm, that Nightfall didn’t make them weep like a baby, that Bittersweet Legacy doesn’t make them want to twist the universe so that somehow in its alternate state it becomes exactly what you wish it really were…they are a liar and you should no longer associate with them.

Authors notes: This fic is structured around a passage from Corinthians that is often recited at weddings. At least according to How I Met Your Mother. The title is from Light on a Hill by Margot and the Nuclear So and So's AKA the song that plays in the rescue scene of Aliens in a Spaceship. The summary is a quote by Joseph Campbell. Stuff I don't know about for this fic: conception, Greek food, anything medical, anything about DC...anything else you find wrong. A quick guide to scenes: scene one takes place during an unseen S1 episode; scene two is immediately post Man in the Cell; scene three is after Santa in the Slush; scene four comes after the end of Con Man in the Meth Lab; scene five is during the Sum in the Parts of the Whole; scene six revolves mostly around the events of The Change in the Game and scene seven is a theoretical future for S7 based solely on my imagination, as I am 98% spoiler free. This fic would never have been without moraglee constantly assuring me that it was great. Also thanks to beanut for being one of the few people who declared season 6 "Great!" and to tempertemper for Love Month and for generally keeping all of us unruly Bones fans in line. :)

So, I've somehow been able to keep up my writing while in Israel ("somehow" clearly meaning "ignoring classes in order to engage in super important fanfic writing"). Unfortunately my usual beta is also in Israel and is not as willing as I am to ignore her life in favor of my fanfic and now I need a new one. Or new ones.

This year I'm expecting to write in my usual fandoms of BTVS/ATS (B/A, of course) and Bones (probably both past seasons as well as S6). But I'm also suddenly venturing out into Veronica Mars, so there might be more fandom experimentation.

ThereFORE: I would be tremendously grateful if a person or persons familiar with at least Buffyverse and Bones (although knowledge of other of my random fandoms would also be helpful- as seen in the list in my profile), as well as grammar (and sensitivity because I do not deal well with criticism) would volunteer to beta my stuff.

Right now I have an incomplete Buffy fic and a Veronica Mars oneshot going on, so....if you might be thinking about volunteering, it would be fantastic for you to mention that in comments.

I have a fic written and I need someone to please please please help me either decide not to post it cause it sucks so much, or to fix it up if it needs it, or to tell me to stop being such a baby, it's fine.
