Hey cool cats. I know I haven't been around much lately (personal post hopefully to come soon) but just popping in to say that it's my IWRY day. The [livejournal.com profile] iwry_marathon is a month long Buffy/Angel ficathon that's one of my favorite parts of the year. It's really making November fly by for me. I realized this morning that this is my fifth year participating (I started when I was a senior in high school; I'm a junior in college now) so I hope that some of you will enjoy my new offering, Trust Falls.

Anyway, happy weekend, friends.

Guys, it's my IWRY day!! I always love when this happens!! Multiple series of exclamation points!!

Title: Hope Springs
Author: Fluff

Summary: "When will it be enough?” she asks, but there is no reply, and she stands alone amongst the stars." Half a decade after Chosen, Buffy risks everything to protect the thing she loves most.
Pairing: Buffy/Angel

Rating: PG
Word count: 14875
Spoilers: All of Buffy and Angel to be safe, but nothing particularly specific other than a couple of references to Chosen and Damage

A/N: This story is my frilled shark fic, so named because frilled sharks have been known to have gestational periods of three and a half years, which is how long it has taken for me to finish it (the first draft I have is from 2009 and Ren's name was Molly). So, many, many thanks to my midwives: Bean, who almost undoubtedly read the first two or three drafts of this back in high school; Kairos, who was so encouraging when I was trying to get my mojo going while I was away in Israel; and MoragLee, who betaed for me (AKA talked me down from the ledge) now that I'm in college.

Title from Alexander Pope and summary from The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Few characters are mine.

(It would be unbelievably sweet and awesome of you to review this)

Okay, I lied. Although this is one of my favorite times ever, the time of non-stop high-quality B/A fic, what I'm really here to say is that it's my IWRY day!!!

I've participated for the past three years, and I look forward to my posting day with a combination of dread and excitement. So, to help amp up the excitement and bring down the dread factor, it would be excellent if you could leave a comment below. :)

My fic this year is called Create a Silence in Your Soul, which is taken from a phrase from a speech given by Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks that I noted when I was reading it and thought "I need to make that part of a fanfiction." And I have to mention it here because I didn't mention it in my author's note: the summary is a beautiful line of anonymous Japanese poetry that I was introduced to through Nightfall AKA the saddest, awesomest, number one why-haven't-you-read-this?! Veronica Mars fic ever. In my experience.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy!!

I'm really excited that today is my IWRY day, and I hope that you are too. So, if you can, please leave a review for my IWRY story, If I Forget Thee.
Notes cut... )

Maybe you don't know this, but every day for the entire month of November, a new B/A-centric fic is posted on [livejournal.com profile] iwry_marathon. Each writer who signs up gets a day...and today is mine.

Love's Truest Language

I'm very excited and very nervous because some of the greatest B/A fanfic writers write for this ficathon and I'm totally in awe of them. So it would make me absurdly happy if you read and commented, even if it's just a smiley or something.

Thank you!!
